Job summary

Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Professional Engineer III (Electrical) to work in our office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

You will monitor construction activities, witness inspections, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and prepare reports from site meetings to support project delivery and safety objectives.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and calculation methods.
• Familiar with international codes, standards, procedures and specifications.
• Strong experience in electrical engineering concepts within construction/PMC projects.

Responsibilities

• Establishes designs and performance specifications for components, systems and processes.
• Monitors construction activities, electrical installations and testing.
• Witnesses contractors’ quality control inspections to ensure permanent works meet requirements.
• Ensures drawings and specifications comply with applicable codes, standards and HSE requirements.
• Attends site/office meetings with contractors and prepares minutes/reports.

Responsibilities

• Establishes designs and performance specifications to fulfill the requirements of assigned general specifications for components, systems, processes, etc
• Monitors construction activities, electrical installations and testing activities.
• Witnessing contractors’ quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent
• Works are constructed according to the applicable codes, standards, and approved
• Drawings and specifications and any associated HSE standards and or requirements.
• Attends site/office meetings with the contractors and prepares reports/minutes on the meetings and or reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering / Science or equivalent in ElectricalEngineering Discipline
• Minimum 6 years engineering experience required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with construction/ PMC
• Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles calculation methods, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications
• With mix of experience on standalone and a portfolio project is desirable
