Job summary

Client of Careers International is seeking a supervisory professional to manage shifts in a tissue manufacturing plant in Jeddah. You will oversee tissue machine performance, maintain quality standards, and coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to meet production targets.

The role requires 3–5 years in tissue manufacturing, a relevant engineering degree, and familiarity with high-speed equipment like Crescent Former machines, shoe presses, and Yankee dryers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in tissue manufacturing including shift management in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; B.Sc in Chemistry or Paper Technology (outside MENA).
• Experience with high-speed tissue machines operating at 1,800–2,000 MPM is preferred.
• Experience with Crescent Former Tissue Machines, stock preparation, and headbox formation geometry.
• Knowledge of shoe press technology, Yankee dryers, cogeneration, and dual hood systems.
• Understanding of tissue quality standards: softness, moisture, sheet strength, formation, and bulk.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, NEBOSH principles, and LOTO procedures.
• Experience with Valmet, Andritz, or Toscotec machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage shift operations in the tissue manufacturing plant.
• Monitor tissue machine performance and ensure smooth, efficient production.
• Maintain production quality in accordance with established tissue quality standards.
• Monitor machine parameters, stock preparation and tissue formation processes.
• Ensure optimal operation of tissue machines, Yankee dryers, shoe presses and related systems.
• Identify production issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures including LOTO.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and quality control teams to achieve targets.
• Maintain shift reports and ensure proper handover between shifts.
