Overview

Contract Type: Permanent.

The Opportunity

The Technician performs a variety of corrective and preventive maintenance and electrical activities to repair and maintain the AVDGS, Aipron, the GPUs and other systems as per contractual requirements at King Fahd International Airport.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the work orders as given by the Maintenance Management and System Engineers, including:
    • Airside work
      • Perform regular inspection of airfield to identify broken or unworkable equipment as well as any noticeable events
      • Replacement of broken equipment either on an emergency basis (corrective maintenance) or according to schedule set by Supervisor (preventive maintenance)
      • Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots and inspects A-VDGS equipment, GPU’s and other systems and ensures the functioning of the Aipron 360 and other airport systems.
      • Operates and communicates daily with VHF radio equipment
      • Participates to general custodial maintenance services to ensure acceptable appearance of A-VDGS facilities and GPU’s.
    • Workshop work
      • Performs maintenance works in workshop either when in stand-by service or when under planned maintenance activities
      • Disassembly, inspection, part replacement, reassembly and checks of equipment
  • Participates to the 24/24 7/7 stand-by service to support emergencies callout
  • This position requires to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) according to the schedule defined by the Supervisor
  • Maintains work records, including complaint resolutions, maintenance and repair logs, vehicle inspection forms, daily work logs
  • Participates to training sessions to maintain the highest level of competencies
  • Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment, and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, greasing equipment, replacing parts, washing/cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop/work areas; responsible for monitoring equipment operations to ensure and maintain efficiency and safety
  • Exercises the necessary care and caution in handling and/or operating vehicles, equipment and tools related to the performance of essential functions and follows airport specific safety policies/practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety, prevention, reporting and monitoring.
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of SLA contract KPI’s
Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma in a technical education (electrical)
  • Certificate of Technical Education (electronics) for Technicians or equivalent, with experience of 5 years in the electronics / special systems maintenance and repair, electrical maintenance of facilities in comparable sector (airport)
  • Experience in airfield lighting maintenance, including facilities maintenance and airport management systems (Aipron 360 and/or equivalent)
  • GPU maintenance
  • Knowledge of the airport operations
  • Skilled in the use of standard and specialized tools used in this work.
