Job summary

Concourse of Civilizations (COC) seeks an experienced Technical Office Engineer specializing in joinery, woodworks, and interior fit-out. You will convert architectural concepts into precise drawings, quantities, and cost estimates while coordinating with factory, procurement, project management, and site teams.

The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor’s degree, 4–5 years’ joinery experience, and strong AutoCAD/Excel skills, with fluency in Arabic and English for cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–5 years of joinery/wood manufacturing or interior fit-out experience.
• Strong knowledge of wood materials, veneers, boards, hardware, and finishing systems.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Ability to read architectural plans and prepare take-offs and cost estimates.
• Familiarity with factory production processes and site installation.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications; prepare shop drawings and installation drawings for joinery.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, BOMs, cut lists, and material schedules.
• Analyze costs across materials, labor, machinery, and transport.
• Prepare quotations and detailed cost breakdowns for joinery items.
• Coordinate with production, CNC, procurement, finishing, and installation teams.
• Issue RFIs and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Review site measurements and update drawings before production.
• Monitor material waste and project costs; prepare technical submittals and samples.
• Support planning and ensure drawings are implemented in factory and on site.
