Job summary

Jotun Saudia Co. Ltd. invites a skilled Technical Advisor to supervise decorative painting projects in Riyadh, ensuring correct product usage and performance per Jotun data sheets and method statements.

You will lead on-site assessments, quality testing, and training for internal teams and customers, while maintaining HSEQ standards and safe material handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in Paint Technology.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in technical service for decorative paint.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise applicators and on-site painting activities to ensure correct product usage.
• Conduct film thickness, adhesion, and visual quality checks per specs.
• Train and certify authorized Jotun applicators; expand the network.
• Coordinate with Quality Control Lab for troubleshooting and recommendations.
• Deliver product training while adhering to HSEQ standards and PPE requirements.

Job description

As a Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for supervising ongoing painting works of decorative projects to ensure the right product and correct usage of the finished coating to achieve the performance as recommended in Jotun's technical data sheets and method of statement.

This position is based in Riyadh and reports to the Senior Technical Advisor.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and advise applicators on proper product applications, on-site assessment, Inspect and prepare concrete with correct surface preparation for coating application and reporting on painting activities for Decorative as well as Floor coating products to ensure that painting jobs are carried out according to specifications and procedures.
• Conduct quality control tests, including film thickness checks, adhesion tests, and visual assessments to verify application quality and troubleshoot any surface or performance issues proactively. Ensure on-site testing according to specifications to meet the required quality.
• Engaging with contractors and applicators to develop and expand a qualified applicator network by training and certifying them as authorized Jotun applicators.
• Liaise with Quality Control Lab on product troubleshooting to ensure proper recommendations are provided to customers.
• Delivering product training sessions for internal teams and customers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and overall competency in product application and performance, and adhere to Jotun’s HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards, ensuring consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of all hazardous materials, in full compliance with workplace and environmental safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. In Paint Technology is preferred.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in technical service for Decorative Paint.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, speaking Arabic will be an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook platform.
