Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. in Riyadh is seeking a Systems Engineer specialized in APPSEC to lead pre-sales for FortiADC, FortiWeb, and FortiAppSec, partnering with the sales team to position security solutions to enterprise customers.

The role requires deep networking and security expertise across on-prem and cloud, strong English communication, and the ability to drive POCs, RFIs/RFPs, and architectural design with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical pre-sales for security solutions.
• Experience with global/ enterprise customers is preferred.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching and web technologies.
• Hands-on with on-prem and cloud infrastructures (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of sales cycles, RFIs, RFPs, and POCs with customers and partners.
• Translate customer requirements into Fortinet-based solutions ahead of competitors.
• Act as primary technical contact with customers and partners in collaboration with sales.

Systems Engineer – (APPSEC) FortiADC, FortiWeb, FortiAppSec

Location – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

As a member of the System Engineering department, you will work closely with the Sales Team to position our portfolio of Solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the Enterprise customers, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required. This includes the project management and active participation in POCs in partnership with the relevant teams both internally and within the customer and/or commercial partner.
• Have the ability to listen and to understand the technical requirements of the customer, reading between the lines to build a solution which outperforms the competitor offering.
• Be the primary technical point of contact for the customer(s) and partners in close collaboration with your sales partner.

Required skills:

• Technical pre-sales experience (8 years)
• Vendor experience in similar fields
• Experience in a global organization, international is preferred
• Strong understanding of Web Technology, Application Security, Network Security, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching
• Architectural and hands-on experience with both on-prem and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Expert level in at least two of the following areas:
• DDoS: DoS/DDoS detection, analysis and mitigation, Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DNS in-depth, Multi-layer L3-L4-L7 attack vectors, vulnerability analysis, network defense, auditing processes
• ADC: Load Balancing (SLB, LLB, GSLB), OWASP TOP10, Negative/Positive Security model, Signature and Machine Learning based protection, HTTP/2 – HTTP/3, TLS 1.3, API security (OpenAPI, REST, GraphQL), Bot Protection, DoS protection, Threat Analytics
• CASB: Proxy, API, Cloud SaaS (e.g. Office 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Box etc). Cloud IaaS management, Compliance reporting, SSPM, DLP, EntraID, Directory Services.
• Strong presentation skills to executives, DMU and technical individual contributors
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• A self-motivated, independent thinker
• Candidates with hands-on experience with one of the leading vendors are preferred
• CISSP, CISM, Fortinet NSE4, 7 or other equivalent certification is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the network security industry.
