As a Supplier Localization Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of driving Siemens Energy’s localization initiatives in Saudi Arabia, working on impactful projects that enhance our supply chain’s efficiency and compliance with local content requirements. Your expertise will be pivotal in fostering strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and partners, ensuring that Siemens Energy meets its contractual obligations while contributing to the region’s economic growth.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Develop and implement comprehensive localization plans for Compression products, aligning with Siemens Energy’s strategic objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate sourcing and supplier qualification activities to maximize local content, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and suppliers, to streamline processes and enhance supplier performance.
  • Conduct thorough offer assessments and negotiations, ensuring optimal techno-commercial evaluations and vendor compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, focusing on qualification, development, and performance improvement to meet cost, quality, and time targets.
  • Support sales proposals by providing insights on local content, aiming for competitive pricing and timely order acquisition.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or business administration with a strong technical affinity, complemented by 5-7 years of procurement experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi localization programs and contractual law, with a proven track record in negotiating and managing supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build lasting partnerships.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and cost modeling, coupled with effective problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Cultural sensitivity and responsiveness, ensuring respectful engagement with diverse groups and maintaining high personal integrity.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAP, enabling efficient management of procurement processes.
