Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Substation Testing Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of HV/LV electrical equipment at client sites. You will develop test procedures, supervise field technicians, and ensure QA/QC compliance, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of testing or design experience, including familiarity with protection relays and substation components.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of proven testing experience or design/construction in similar facilities.
• Experience with ZIV protection relay is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical industry standards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of protection relays and substation HV/LV equipment.
• Test vacuum reclosers, transformers, instrument trans. and switchboard components.
• Ensure safe, accurate field testing of substation equipment.
• Develop substation test procedures and QA/QC processes.
• Mentor field technicians on substation systems and testing methods.
• Coordinate with clients on testing projects and outage requirements.
