Job summary

Burjline Builders in Riyadh is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to design and analyze framing systems for F&B, retail, hospitality and commercial fit-out projects. You will collaborate with architects, interior designers, BIM teams and project managers to deliver safe and efficient structural solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, strong RC and steel design knowledge, and proficiency with ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• We require a civil engineering degree with structural focus and up to 10 years’ experience.
• Experience in F&B, restaurant, café, retail, hospitality, commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Proficiency in structural design software and BIM coordination.
• Saudi Arabia/GCC experience is highly preferred and SBC familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for restaurants, retail, hospitality, and commercial fit-outs.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our Architecture & Design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis for F&B, retail, hospitality, fit-out, and commercial projects. This role involves working closely with architects, interior designers, BIM teams, and project managers to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative structural solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both new developments and renovation projects while ensuring compliance with local and international design standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, hospitality, and commercial fit-out projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and BIM teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review architectural layouts and provide practical structural solutions during design development.
• Perform structural assessments for renovation, refurbishment, and fit-out projects.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and structural calculations.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure structural works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and safety regulations.
• Support project planning, cost optimization, and value engineering initiatives.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).
• 5–10 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Proven experience in F&B, restaurant, café, retail, hospitality, commercial, and fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, and structural modifications for interior fit-outs.
• Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
• Experience coordinating with BIM teams and working in Revit is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC), international design standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• GCC experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly preferred.
