Job summary

Musco Saudi Arabia Team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Purchasing Specialist to lead supplier relationships for a new manufacturing facility. The role requires negotiating with contract suppliers, maintaining inventory procedures, and coordinating with engineers and production to meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of purchasing experience, a business or engineering degree (or equivalent), and strong English/Arabic communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years of purchasing experience strongly desired.
• Business or Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent years' experience.
• Working knowledge of purchasing systems and negotiation techniques.
• Strong command of both English and Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• High level of organization, with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated to work independently
• Proficient with computers and Office365 programs, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities

• Identify and negotiate with contract suppliers for materials, supplies, equipment and/or services.
• Establish and maintain procedures for quality, delivery, service and price improvement.
• Support minimum inventory levels and minimize obsolete inventory to avoid backorders or disruptions.
• Provide technical assistance to interpret, analyze, and resolve procurement issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, production, and suppliers to ensure compliance with standards and quality requirements.
• Prepare cost comparison requests for Purchasing, Engineering and Production projects.
• Investigate firms with manufacturing facilities/services, evaluating their capabilities and reliability.
