Strategic Financial Controller for JV & FP&A

Job summary

Talents First - Executive Search & Selection is seeking a Financial Controller for a leading industrial joint venture in Riyadh. You will oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, IFRS reporting, governance and business performance, partnering with the CFO and senior management.

The role requires driving consolidation across entities, budgeting and forecasting, and delivering management reports, with a focus on controls and process improvements. SAP and advanced Excel are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, SOCPA, CMA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience in financial controlling, accounting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, governance, compliance and risk management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or another major ERP system.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience in a JV, multinational, industrial, manufacturing or project-based environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with senior management, auditors, shareholders and business functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Ensure accurate financial statements in line with IFRS and local requirements.
• Manage financial consolidation across relevant JV entities and business units.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Prepare financial analysis, scenario planning and management reports.
• Monitor revenue, margins, operating costs, profitability, working capital and cash flow.
• Partner with business leaders to understand performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and risk management.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions.
• Ensure effective use of ERP and financial systems.
• Drive finance process improvement, automation and standardization.
