Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Riyadh is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Saudi accounting team, ensure timely close, and deliver US GAAP financial reporting for regional management and the consolidation group in the United States.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance with at least 2 years in people management, preferably with Big 4 exposure and SAP expertise. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 5+ years in accounting/finance, including 2+ years in people management.
• Experience with US GAAP and SOX controls; pharma industry experience preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Saudi Arabia accounting team and monthly close processes.
• Prepare and review US GAAP financial reporting for regional management and consolidation teams.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual statutory audit and documentation.
• Maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies; ensure compliance with SOX and FCPA.
• Drive process improvements and ERP implementations in collaboration with Finance leadership.
