Job description

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management of inventory and stock in the store, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch (issuance) of workshop spare parts, packaging materials, cleaning materials, electrical supplies, etc. This role includes supervising store operations, optimizing inventory levels, maintaining stock accuracy, and managing the Storekeepers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory records for all categories of materials.
  • Ensure timely ordering and replenishment of stock based on consumption and minimum stock levels.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate reports on stock movement and consumption trends.
2. Store Operations
  • Oversee daily store operations including receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
  • Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and categorization of all inventory items.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the store area.
3. Staff Management
  • Supervise Storekeepers and other store personnel.
  • Train and evaluate store team members on inventory systems and safety procedures.
  • Allocate tasks and ensure timely completion of store duties.
4. Documentation and Reporting
  • Ensure all goods received and issued are recorded accurately in ERP systems (i.e., SAP, AX Dynamics, Dynamics 365).
  • Prepare regular reports on stock levels, slow‑moving items, and material shortages.
  • Conduct monthly and annual stock audits and reconciliation.
5. Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding stock handling.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations in the store.
  • Implement and monitor FIFO (First In First Out) practices for perishable or date‑sensitive items.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in store/inventory management (experience with industrial or technical stores preferred).
  • Proficient in inventory management software or ERP systems (i.e., SAP, AX Dynamics, Dynamics 365).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
