Job summary

Stafford Lawrence seeks an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental strategy for a major stadium construction project in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee project-wide HSE implementation across Civil, MEP, Electrical, Structural, and Specialist Works, directing a large multidisciplinary team and coordinating with Client and PMC to ensure compliance from testing through final handover.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety.
• Experience: 20+ years in construction with 5+ years in senior HSE roles.
• Project profile: HSE Manager/Director on stadium or mega construction projects.
• Contractor background: Main Contractor experience preferred.
• Regional exposure: GCC or Saudi Arabia experience preferred.
• Certifications: NEBOSH/IOSH/ISO 45001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE strategy and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Develop site-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and emergency plans.
• Oversee high-risk operations control and auditing.
• Direct HSE training, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement.
• Coordinate with Client, PMC, authorities and subcontractors.
• Manage HSE KPIs and reporting across the project.
