Overview

The Sr. Stamping Manufacturing Engineer will lead the planning, installation, commissioning, and execution of stamping equipment to ensure efficient and reliable production. The role focuses on delivering world-class products on time, with required quality and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams during design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases, enabling sound business decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Co‑ordinate and run meetings to resolve issues related to RFQs, feasibility, equipment design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct technical design reviews and coordinate all investment stages with suppliers, ME, and stamping shop teams.
• Create and modify Microsoft Project schedules, ensuring the project team prioritizes tasks and meets milestones.
• Report project updates to executives, understand product design changes, and assess their impacts on stamping equipment.
• Mitigate risks, recognize optimization opportunities, and manage internal Lucid customers’ needs regarding priorities, deadlines, and quantities.
• Plan and manage on‑site installation and commissioning with equipment integrators, track test runs for SOP, and generate RFQs for stamping equipment.
• Vet integrator proposals and comply with all environmentally safe practices and regulations.
• Develop and execute FAT/SAT requirements for pre‑acceptance with integrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Equipment Engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in stamping engineering and 10 years of technical apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in project management and stamping engineering within high‑volume, green‑field stamping environments.
• Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques, including servo tandem press lines, laser blanking lines, crane and scrap conveyor equipment, tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation features for stamping equipment.
• Experience working with diverse global stamping equipment suppliers from different countries.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, with exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong mechanical, time‑management, and analytical skills, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to stay current with state‑of‑the‑art technologies and develop innovative solutions.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD; 3‑D design skills are a plus.
