The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon.com with the compute, network and datacenter capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business. We are seeking a Procurement professional to support the APAC data centre procurement space in India.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own supply chain sustainability and de‑carbonization strategy and delivery for construction projects for APAC
  • Lead construction material supply chain sourcing and program management to drive cost saving and risk mitigation
  • Drive regional initiatives and programs across the construction procurement team
  • Analyze category data and metrics to establish and implement procurement category strategies
  • Understand trends in customers’ needs and concerns across categories and regions to influence customers’ priorities
  • Provide in‑depth knowledge about the supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically, to the business
  • Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost
  • Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships
  • Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle
  • Some travel may be required, up to 25%

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of related industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation
  • Experience in driving sustainability initiatives, Green Material Supply Chains and Global Programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in data centres, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
  • Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
  • Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
