Job summary

alfanar Construction is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Technical and Detailing Finishing to supervise project construction, planning, site contractors and ensure work meets quality standards.

You will coordinate architectural finishes with MEP services and subcontractors, review shop drawings, and drive timely approvals while maintaining safety and schedule adherence. The role requires a Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering and 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a strong ability to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in architectural engineering is required.
• 10-15 years of work experience in architectural finishing and construction projects.
• Strong coordination between architectural finishes, MEP services and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors for timely approvals and shop drawings.
• Coordinate between architectural finishes, MEP services and subcontractors for proper execution.
• Review shop drawings and ensure fully coordinated shop drawings for execution.
• Study interactions between trades and raise RFIs to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage productivity of architectural works to match contractor schedule.
• Develop site logistics and mobilization/demobilization plans.
• Identify project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate impacts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout construction.

Job Purpose

Supervise the project construction, planning, site contractors, and ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard. Supervise the architecture, hardscape and softscape. Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project

Key Accountability Areas

• Liaise with suppliers/vendors/subcontractors for timely submission and follow up to obtain consultant timely approvals for material, samples, mock ups, shop drawings
• Coordinate between architectural finishes, MEP services and subcontractors for proper execution of finishing works
• Reviewing shop drawings, details of finishes and coordinate the produced shop drawings made by different subcontractors to result in fully coordinated shop drawing ready for execution.
• Study the details of interactions between different trades and raise RFls on discrepancies and provide solutions to facilitate the approval of consultants
• Manage the productivity of the architectural works to match the schedule of works set by the general contractor
• Develop site logistics (mobilization / demobilization) plans
• Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate negative impacts on project.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the construction process.
