Job summary

Asmacs is seeking a Specialist – T.G.M.& Controls in Saudi Arabia to manage gas distribution and detection systems. The role requires 5–8 years of related experience with toxic and flammable gases, and hands-on maintenance of gas cabinets, manifolds, and VMB.

You will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA software, operate control panels, and write/adjust SOPs while working independently or as part of a team to ensure safe, reliable gas delivery operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma in Oil and Gas or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in related field with toxic and flammable gas handling.
• Ability to operate gas delivery equipment and gas detection systems.
• Understand mechanical parts and perform preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Familiar with gas cabinets, gas manifold, and VMB operations.
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA controls and related troubleshooting.
• Ability to write/ revise SOPs and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate gas delivery equipment and gas detection systems.
• Troubleshoot control panels and PLC/SCADA related issues.
• Perform cylinder change-outs for toxic and flammable gases.
• Verify gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes, and gas line integrity.
• Operate mechanical equipment, piping, and regulation components.
• Prepare and close maintenance tickets and write SOPs as needed.
• Work independently or in a team and undertake additional duties as required.

Job description

SPECIALIST – T.G.M.& CONTROLS

Bachelor/Diploma in Oil and Gas or related field

Min of 5-8 years experience in related field , Handle toxic & flammable gas distribution & various gas detection system.

Maintain and operate all gas delivery equipment and gas detection systems. Understand how the mechanical portion of the equipment works, identify individual components included in each assembly and perform preventive & reactive maintenance.

Knowledge of Gas cabinets (Automatic & Manual) Operation & Troubleshooting, Gas manifold, VMB

Knowledge of Gas detectors brand of Honeywell, RKI, ATI

Perform cylinder change-outs for Toxic & Flammable gases

Verification of Gas Cabinets & Valve manifold box, gas line integrity test

Knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping, valving, regulation, PLC operation, etc.

Through understanding gas and/or chemical properties.

Knowledge of control systems like PLC, SCADA

Ability to troubleshoot control panels

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Ability to use maintenance software & close work orders, tickets on time

Ability to write and revise standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed.

Undertake any other duties or assignment as required from time to time by the management within reason.
