The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, real-time systems, and airport IT infrastructure. This role involves defining software architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability, working on real-time systems, integrating with airport infrastructure, and ensuring high reliability and performance in a safety-critical environment.Key Responsibilities:* Support the sales engineering department with software requirements and gap analysis along-with identifying risk & opportunities.* Define and maintain the software architecture for BHS applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with system requirements and operational goals as well as to integrate software with PLCs and Sorter* Collaborate with customer to integrate airport systems such as DCS and AODB with BHS software.* Participate in system architecture design and contribute to high-level technical decisions.* Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, installation manuals and user manuals.* Develop and maintain software components for baggage handling systems.* Design and configure configuration manager (CM) services for internal as well as external interfaces for real-time data exchange.* Conduct component testing, integration testing, and support system commissioning at airport sites.* Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix software problems* Advise Integration Manager, Integration Engineer and Project Manager with regards to solutions of technical and multi-disciplinary problems* Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and cybersecurity best practices.* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Required skills & Qualification:* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer science, or related field.* 10+ years of experience in software design and engineering, strongly recommended in airport BHS or logistics automation systems.* Familiarity with industrial automation systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and communication protocols. (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, ActiveMQ)* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.* Excellent communication and documentation skills.* Proficiency in programming languages such as PL/SQL and Java. Understanding/reading XML/XSD/XSLT* Working on virtual machines/clusters and Linux environment.* Tooling: Microsoft VISIO, SQL Developer/TOAD, Altova Mapforce, Apache Maven/Ant, JIRA/Bitbucket**Aspire.
