The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales and technical role withfocuson customer / partners and is part of the sales organization. TheSE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 solutions to our customers.To be effective, an SE needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledgeonboth F5 products and the “eco-system” that we work in. Fear not, we do provide training and certification to keep abreast with these critical skills!
Thehigh-levelobjectiveis to achieve theallocatedsales target and selling relevant F5 solutions and products to ourcustomersbusiness needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Managers’ team.
Fromourcustomer(s)perspective, the SE is a trusted advisor who proactively learns and understands their technical and business challenges andis able topropose effective solutions to mitigate their concerns / offer gainful solutions.The F5 SE not onlypresents the technical features but also business benefits in the Technical Value Proposition.

Articulate the F5solution’sstrategy,messagingand positioning F5’svalue propositionand solutionsfor customer businessobjectives.
Providetechnicalexpertisethrough sales presentations, solution designs, solution demonstrations,proof of conceptsbyvarious mediums – in-person / virtual presentations, whiteboardsetc.
Determineviability ofbusinessopportunitiesand map outthese opportunities withcustomersorganizationalstructure.
Supporting thedrivingofthe sales process in partnership with the AccountManagers’and local Generalist SEteams, byidentifyingand proposingtheF5 technology and solutions for specific customer requirements.
Consistently provide world-class customer servicethrough the customerand partnerlife cycle, sharing best practice atRegionlevel, EMEA level andWorld Widelevel, sharing this information with other Solutions Engineers and Solution architectsoperatingin different regionsantheaters;
Work collaboratively withSolution Architects, Product Management, other Pre-Sales andsalesresources, share best practices, updates,F5positioning.
Providingknowledge and experience withTelco Infrastructures,Data Centers,Virtualizationand Cloud computing environments. Knowledge of Application Identification / DPI technologieswill be a prefreredskill
Providing knowledge and experience onService Provider’sMobilenetwork architectures and protocols,with specific focus onprotocols defined by 3GPP.
You will have workedwith DevOps, CI / CD, and SCM tools, as well ascontainer orchestration solutions (eg : Kubernetes,Openshiftetc).
Experience in theRFxprocesses
Experience on AI related projects, or willingness to face new challenges learning AI infrastructure pain points
Familiarity / experience withF5technologyor similar industrysolution deploymenta plus.
Knowledge of Telco networks and protocols, with specific focus on Mobile and 3GPP
Knowledge of Network Equipment Providers ecosystem, with Ericsson and Nokia as partners of preference.
Fluentverbaland writing skills in English.
The role will requirecustomer / partnermeetings for at least 50% oftime, which could beremote / virtualorface to facemeetings whenever possible.
