Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Solution Architect - Infrastructure to design and govern the compute, storage, cloud, data center and edge foundations for airport systems. You will ensure resilient, secure, scalable infrastructure supporting a 24/7 operational environment and coordinate across cloud, on-premise and edge environments.

The role requires hands-on cloud and data center experience, strong collaboration skills, and a track record in aviation or other critical-infrastructure

Qualifications

• Solid experience in infrastructure and cloud architecture on complex programs.
• Hands-on with Azure, AWS and Google Cloud; virtualization and data center expertise.
• Designing for high availability, backup and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of infrastructure security and automation (IaC).
• Experience in aviation, transport or 24/7 critical infrastructure environments.

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect - Infrastructure designs the compute, storage, cloud, data center and platform infrastructure that hosts airport systems, ensuring resilient, secure and scalable foundations for a 24/7 operational environment.

The role produces infrastructure designs and standards and works across cloud, on-premise and edge to support the airport application and integration estate.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design

• Design compute, storage, cloud, data center, platform and edge infrastructure for airport systems.
• Produce infrastructure design documents, patterns and decision records.
• Design for high availability, redundancy, performance, backup and disaster recovery.

Cloud & Operations

• Design cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), hybrid and on-premise solutions and landing zones.
• Embed security, monitoring, automation and manageability into infrastructure.
• Support capacity, resilience and operational readiness.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work with application, integration, network and cyber domains for coherent designs.
• Support estimation, planning and risk for the infrastructure domain.
• Engage with delivery teams and vendors.

Skills & Experience

• Infrastructure architecture: Solid experience in infrastructure/cloud architecture on complex programs.
• Cloud & data center: Hands-on with cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), virtualization, data center, storage and platforms.
• Resilience & DR: Designing for HA, redundancy, backup and disaster recovery.
• Security & automation: Understanding of infrastructure security and automation (IaC).
• Collaboration & communication: Effective across domains with good stakeholder skills.
• Cloud/infrastructure certifications (Azure/AWS Architect, VMware).
• Experience in aviation, transport or 24/7 critical-infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of edge/OT hosting in an airport campus.
• Exposure to MSI operating models.

Qualifications
