Job summary

ADIB ALI AL ZAMIL ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY CO. seeks an experienced refinery process engineer to support technical activities across unit operations. You will review calculations, develop reports, and run simulations to optimize performance and identify bottlenecks.

The role requires hands-on experience with process hydraulics, relief and flare analyses, PFDs/PDIs, and safety studies such as HAZOP/HAZID. Saudi-based candidates are preferred, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in refinery process engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in refinery environment in technical/process engineering roles.
• Expertise in refinery process units or specialized process engineering areas.
• Strong knowledge of refinery processes, engineering practices and industry standards.
• Experience with major oil & gas/refinery operators desirable.
• Strong analytical, technical reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates currently available in KSA preferred.
• Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS/Aspen Plus or equivalent.
• Knowledge of API, ASME and relevant process engineering standards.
• Process design and optimization skills.
• Knowledge in relief and flare system analysis.
• Process hydraulics expertise.
• Refinery troubleshooting and debottlenecking experience.
• Process safety and HAZOP participation.
• Strong MS Office and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical process engineering support for refinery units and operations.
• Review and develop process engineering calculations studies and technical reports.
• Perform process simulations and evaluate operating conditions and process performance.
• Conduct process hydraulics pressure-drop equipment sizing and system capacity calculations.
• Perform relief load calculations and support flare system analysis.
• Review engineering deliverables PFDs P&IDs and process datasheets.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and recommendations for refinery process issues.
• Coordinate with operations maintenance engineering and other technical disciplines.
• Ensure all process engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards project specifications and YASREF requirements.
• Prepare technical reports recommendations and presentations for management client review.
