Job summary

Al Shuwayer Group of Companies in Saudi Arabia seeks a skilled technician to perform end-to-end switchgear installation, maintenance and servicing for LV/MV assemblies. You will conduct transformer maintenance, inspections, and oil-related tasks to support reliable power distribution.

The role requires reading electrical drawings and documentation, adherence to procedures, and strict HSE compliance on-site. A technical electrical diploma and hands-on substations experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on LV/MV switchgear or transformer experience.
• Experience in installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance is advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Job description

• Switchgear & Control Gear Installation, Maintenance & Servicing. Execute end-to-end installation, inspection, routine maintenance, and servicing of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Power Transformer Maintenance, Inspection & Oil-Related Operations. Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance, routine inspection, oil-related activities, and technical troubleshooting on power transformers.
• Electrical Testing & Commissioning Support. Conduct functional checks, mechanical operation tests, contact resistance, insulation resistance, and associated electrical testing to support testing and commissioning activities.
• Defect Identification, Troubleshooting & Technical Reporting. Systematically diagnose equipment defects, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues, and document and report technical findings to ensure equipment reliability.
• Compliance with Procedures, Standards & Site HSE Regulations. Adhere strictly to approved operating procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements throughout all tasks.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Professional Skills:

• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment, maintenance procedures, and safe working practices.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Proven hands-on site experience with LV/MV switchgear, control gear, and/or power transformers. of electrical substations, Preferable in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical.
