Job summary

INARCO-MEP in Riyadh is seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer responsible for on-site execution, supervision and quality control of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works in line with drawings, specs, and schedule. You will review shop drawings, coordinate with civil and other trades, plan manpower and materials, and ensure HSE compliance, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of site experience in MEP mechanical works, preferably including Saudi Arabia.
• Experience on commercial, healthcare, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day installation of HVAC, chilled water, ducting, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and pumping systems.
• Review shop drawings, coordination drawings and technical submittals, and ensure site work matches approved documents.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, structural and other trades to resolve clashes and ensure smooth progress.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials and equipment to meet the project schedule.
• Raise and follow up MAR, IR and RFI with the consultant and client.
• Carry out quality control inspections, testing, commissioning, flushing, balancing and handover of systems.
• Prepare progress reports, quantities for interim payment applications and as-built drawings.
• Monitor subcontractor and supervisor performance, workmanship and compliance.
• Enforce site HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements and safe working practices.
• Identify variations and extra work, and support the preparation of claims with proper documentation.
• Support snagging, testing, commissioning, O&M documentation and final handover.

Job description

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in commercial, healthcare, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing and firefighting design and installation.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC), NFPA, SMACNA, ASHRAE and consultant/client specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, architectural and coordination drawings.
• Experience with testing and commissioning procedures (TAB, pressure tests, flushing).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and project documentation systems (Revit/Navisworks is an advantage).
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid Saudi driving license and transferable Iqama.
