Overview
Assistant IT Manager / Assistant IT Supervisor. ERP Application (evaluation stage to handover phase). Should be visionary and calculated in method with the capability to apply infrastructural as well as architectural self-controls to address company problems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor servers, software, CCTV and wireless networks; perform tasks such as producing new customers, examining event logs, upgrading software, maintaining backups.
- Manage and monitor workstations: install/update software, provide help-desk support, repair, conduct regular checks, monitor software installations, and report prohibited software usage/ installations.
- Plan network extension to add new customers; organize cabling, determine requirements, obtain quotations, monitor installation of equipment, software setups, and workstation setup.
- Set up repairs of malfunctioning hardware with distributors and organize purchases of new devices through established providers.
- Adhere to procedures for acquiring equipment and software: request quotations, obtain approvals, sign delivery notes, inspect shipments, report inconsistencies, and approve invoices before payment.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of software and hardware; monitor software license status and ensure license compliance.
- Training: train new users in system basics (Windows, email, web, MS Office, in-house applications, etc.).
- Upgrade software: review offered upgrades, identify productivity improvements, pre-select, evaluate, and suggest purchases to management.
- Maintain a system maintenance log: document upkeep routines, regular faults, and services to resolve issues.
- Coordinate support for ERP and other software; possess full proficiency with mission-critical applications (MS Exchange Server, MS Outlook, MS Office, Web browsers, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
- Understanding of Digital Transformation and IR4 innovations; knowledge of Oracle Database & Linux is a plus.
- Professional awareness of new technologies (Cisco routers, VMware, Sophos) and ability to administer and manage infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
