Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee the construction and delivery of water transmission pipeline works.

The role requires ensuring compliance with project specifications, coordinating with the client, contractor, authorities, and other stakeholders to keep the project on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and at least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years in civil engineering with at least 5 years in water pipelines.
• Experience in construction supervision and consultancy roles.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, earthworks, concrete, and utility coordination.
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices for water infra.
• Ability to review technical submittals, QA/QC, and methods.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• GCC/Middle East experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities related to water transmission pipelines and civil infra.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and standards.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals.
• Monitor contractor progress, quality, and HSE compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during construction.
• Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Review contractor progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Assist in evaluating variations, claims, and contractual matters.
• Prepare periodic progress, quality, and technical reports for project management.
