Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Discipline Manager - Water Features to lead planning, design and delivery of decorative water systems across hospitality, landscape and large-scale developments. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and optimize water usage and energy efficiency throughout concept to commissioning.

The role requires 10–15 years in water feature design and project delivery, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical/civil/water engineering or landscape architecture.
10–15 years in water feature design, engineering and project delivery with leadership experience.
Proven experience delivering complex water feature projects in hospitality, mixed-use, landscape or master-planned developments.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the water features discipline across multiple projects and design stages.
Oversee design of fountains, interactive water features, waterfalls, ponds, lakes, water walls and aquatic systems.
Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, environmental regulations and client requirements.
Coordinate with landscape architects, civil, MEP, structural engineers and other stakeholders.
Review and approve design calculations, specifications, drawings and reports.
Develop innovative sustainable water feature solutions optimizing water use and energy efficiency.
Manage discipline resources, budgets, schedules and deliverables.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers and designers.
Conduct design reviews, value engineering and risk assessments.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and manufacturers on equipment and technical requirements.
Support procurement through technical evaluations, tender reviews and contractor assessments.
Monitor construction and provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
Maintain strong client relationships and act as primary technical authority on water features.
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices within the discipline.
