Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Warranty Engineer to oversee warranty claims on pumps, mechanical seals, and related systems. You will investigate root causes, perform RCFA, and drive corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce costs. This role requires collaboration with Engineering, QA/QC, Production, and Service teams.

You will be the main customer contact for warranty matters, provide status updates, and participate in customer meetings. Site visits and field support are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in pumps, rotating equipment, field service, reliability, or warranty management.
• Knowledge of API 610, API686, API 682 and rotating equipment practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warranty claim lifecycle from receipt to closure.
• Evaluate entitlement and determine liability based on terms and findings.
• Lead RCFA investigations and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate actions with Engineering, QA/QC, Production, Procurement, Service and suppliers.
• Serve as primary customer contact for warranty matters and provide regular updates.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting as required.
• Support field service teams during warranty investigations.
• Monitor warranty costs and support recovery from suppliers.

About The Role

Job Summary

Oversee and resolve warranty claims for pumps, mechanical seals, drivers, and auxiliary systems through technical investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to enhance reliability, reduce warranty costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete warranty claim lifecycle from receipt to closure.
• Evaluate warranty entitlement and determine liability based on contractual terms and technical findings.
• Lead claim investigations and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with Engineering, QA/QC, Production, Procurement, Service, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for warranty-related matters.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and provide regular claim status updates.
• Participate in customer meetings and present investigation findings and recommendations.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting activities as required.
• Support field service teams during warranty investigations.
• Monitor warranty costs and support recovery from suppliers when applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

• 5–10 years of experience in pumps, rotating equipment, field service, reliability, or warranty management.
• Knowledge of API 610, API686, API 682, and rotating equipment practices is preferred.
