Job Description
About the Role

We’re looking for a UX Researcher who’s equal parts analytical, empathetic, and bold, someone who thrives in uncovering user insights through both structured analysis and real-world fieldwork. This role is central to ensuring that every HungerStation product decision is backed by deep user understanding, not assumptions.

You’ll plan, conduct, and synthesize user research across all stages of the product lifecycle, working closely with designers, product managers, and data analysts to bring user stories to life, from data to documentation and from insights to action.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead end-to-end research initiatives, from defining goals and selecting methods to conducting studies, synthesizing findings, and communicating insights.
  • Conduct in-field and remote research with real users across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region, including intercept interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability sessions in public spaces or on-call.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns and trends in user behavior.
  • Balance qualitative and quantitative methods, such as in-depth interviews, diary studies, surveys, analytics deep-dives, and A/B test evaluation.
  • Document findings thoroughly through structured reports, visual frameworks, and presentation decks that drive design and product decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and analytics to ensure research insights are timely, actionable, and measurable.
  • Advocate for users by communicating insights clearly and confidently to stakeholders, translating empathy into impact.
  • Build scalable research frameworks to improve consistency, speed, and rigor across the team.
Examples of Research You Might Lead
  • Running in-person usability sessions in Riyadh’s busiest malls to test the onboarding flow for new users.
  • Conducting delivery rider shadowing and diary studies to understand post-order experience pain points.
  • Analyzing survey and app analytics data to uncover churn reasons and improve retention.
  • Facilitating concept testing workshops with product and design teams to validate early ideas before development.
  • Leading feature validation studies for new product launches or key initiatives within our Food, Quick Commerce, or FinTech domains.
  • Developing deep-dive reports on specific user segments (e.g., first-time users, loyal customers, or vendors) to guide domain or product strategies.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency mandatory
  • 5+ years of experience in UX Research or Human-Centered Design, ideally within product-driven or fast-paced tech environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
  • Expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methods such as usability testing, ethnographic studies, concept validation, surveys, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, able to distill complex findings into clear, structured reports with visual storytelling and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decisions across product and tech teams.
  • Comfortable and confident conducting fieldwork, talking to random users in public, visiting vendors, or running in-person sessions when needed.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Maze, Qualtrics, Dovetail, Typeform, Looker, Excel, or Google Data Studio.
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Good understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively.
