Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Substation Automation Engineer with Cyber Security specialization to lead design and execution of projects, ensuring OT security alignment with standards and customer requirements.

The role covers tendering and project execution, including FAT/SAT, architecture design, security plans, and collaboration with global teams to deliver secure, reliable substations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of substations automation and OT security experience.
• Experience with OT security designs and network topologies.
• Ability to prepare design documents and FAT/SAT testing.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Willingness to travel ~50% for missions and customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• Estimate man-days for design activities during ITO stage.
• Support opportunities with site surveys, deals estimations and prequalification.
• Review RFQs touching Cyber Security; propose compliant paths.
• Propose cyber security solutions aligned to customer specs and GE capabilities.
• Create architecture references for cyber security proposals.
• Develop Security Assurance Plan (SAP) for projects.
• Ensure BOM templates for cyber security devices.
• Provide FAT/SAT execution and validation with customers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet standards.
• Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders.
