Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead construction supervision for hyperscale data center projects across the Middle East. You will oversee reinforced concrete, structural steel, and complex foundation works, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with international standards and client requirements.

The role requires 12–15 years in structural engineering and at least 3–5 years on hyperscale or mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12–15 years of overall experience in structural engineering, design review, and construction supervision.
• 3–5 years direct experience on hyperscale data centers, Tier III/IV facilities, or digital infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising construction of reinforced concrete and steel structures for data centers.
• Experience overseeing complex foundation systems including piled and raft foundations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams during construction and commissioning.
• Experience working under FIDIC-based contracts and international project delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all structural construction activities and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Review shop drawings, ITPs, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance to meet schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve construction and quality issues.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, MEP, Architects, and project management for seamless execution.
• Review designs, calculations, and constructability for efficiency and safety.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for data center infrastructure.
