Job summary

CoorB in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a seasoned Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to ensure availability, security, and performance of mission-critical databases.

You will design and maintain FCI and Always On environments, perform backups, tuning, DR tests, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support migrations and new deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, or 2022.
• Experience implementing and supporting Always On Availability Groups.
• Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
• Strong knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, and maintenance strategies.
• Experience with performance tuning, execution plans, indexing, and statistics.
• Proficiency in T-SQL programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent, Database Mail, Maintenance Plans, and SQL Profiler/Extended Events.
• PowerShell scripting for SQL Server administration.
• Knowledge of database security, encryption, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SQL Server instances.
• Manage SQL Server environments across Development, Test, UAT, and Production.
• Design and support FCI and Always On Availability Groups.
• Perform failovers, DR testing, and HA validation.
• Monitor performance and capacity using monitoring tools.
• Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
• Tune performance and optimize queries and indexes.
• Troubleshoot replication, clustering, and Always On issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and app teams to resolve production problems.
