The Senior Specialist – Operational Excellence ensures operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality across the car rental business in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on process optimization, operational audits, IT system integrity, people support, and continuous improvement initiatives. It partners closely with Finance, Compliance, IT, and Operations to enhance branch performance and empower staff while avoiding duplication of responsibilities.

Accountabilities
  • Process Excellence & Productivity — Map, review, and optimize rental workflows (reservations, check-in/out, fleet management, claims, etc); standardize SOPs across branches to ensure consistency and efficiency; introduce productivity initiatives (reducing idle fleet time, faster customer service, improved branch staffing models); identify cost-saving opportunities by streamlining non-value-added activities.
  • Operational Audits & Efficiency Reviews — Conduct regular audits of branch processes focusing on operational discipline and productivity; evaluate efficiency of staff time and vehicle utilization, providing recommendations for improvement; share audit findings constructively with staff and managers to drive corrective actions.
  • IT & Data Integrity — Monitor integration and data consistency between CPT, COBRA, LOGISTY, and other related systems; work with IT to resolve operational system issues and discrepancies; support IT projects that improve automation, reporting, and reduce manual workload; use system reports to identify inefficiencies or suspicious activity requiring escalation.
  • Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization — Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives to improve fleet utilization, reduce service cycle time, and enhance staff productivity; track and analyse KPIs such as agreements per staff, fleet turnaround, and customer satisfaction; recommend initiatives that reduce operating costs while supporting employee efficiency.
  • People Support & Engagement — Provide coaching and training to staff on updated SOPs, system usage, and productivity methods in coordination with the Training Team; act as a support partner for branch teams, listening to operational challenges and incorporating feedback; promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with Finance to improve transaction efficiency and reduce manual reconciliations; collaborate with Compliance to align operational SOPs with regulatory requirements; work with IT to ensure system enhancements meet operational needs and improve staff usability.
  • Reporting & Documentation — Maintain accurate audit logs, improvement project documentation, and incident records; develop and present dashboards and reports on productivity, efficiency, and operational improvements; escalate unresolved bottlenecks or recurring issues to senior management.
Qualifications
  • 4 - 7 years in operations, process improvement, or auditing roles within the automotive, transport, or rental car sector.
  • Experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement projects and staff coaching.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s rental regulatory environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, IT Systems, or related field.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Exposure to system integration and IT-enabled operational improvements (COBRA, LOGISTY, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and BI/reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement and productivity methods.
  • Ability to conduct audits and analyse system data for anomalies.
