Job summary

A global recruitment agency is looking for a senior professional to oversee strategic and operational objectives for aftersales business. Responsibilities

  • Define and derive strategic and operative objectives.

  • Develop performance indicators for Service and Parts based on corporate strategy.
  • Implement budget for aftersales business.
  • Negotiate with vendors to improve cost structure.
  • Engage associates through training and relationship building.
  • Monitor daily KPI's for each AM and PAC in region.
  • Visit workshops to coach and provide direction to staff.
  • Maintain educational standards on best practices in automotive service.
  • Ensure aftersales department certification to standards.
  • Communicate clearly to ensure effective aftersales units.
  • Implement creative problem-solving methods in decision-making.
Job description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define a vision and derive strategic and operative objectives.
  • You will be responsible for creating inputs for the annual business plan and will assist in the annual budget.
  • Develop appropriate performance indicators for Service and Parts derived from the corporate strategy in coordination with Management
  • Create binding investment, cost, sales and profit plans based on strategic and operational goals, taking into account the overall value chain (such as market share for Service and Parts, volume planning for Parts and Accessories and vehicle throughput).
  • You will be fully responsible for implementing budget for the aftersales business.
  • You will negotiate with vendors and regional industry leaders to improve the cost structure.
  • Implement and execute on business plans to achieve performance targets.
  • Engages associates through training, building relationships, and expectation setting/follow-up to deliver and beat company expectations by holding associates accountable to their results and recognizing and celebrating their successes.
  • Monitor KPI's daily for each AM and PAC in region.
  • Maintain a relentless follow up system to ensure effective implementation and integration of tactics in execution of the company objectives.
  • Visits workshops regularly to personally coach, instruct and provide direction to the staff.
  • Maintain educational standards for self and staff on best practices related to:
  • Quick Oil Change
  • General automotive service & repair
  • Tires, alignment, and suspension
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on the organizations policies & procedure.
  • Ensure all aftersales department are certified satisfactory to the principles standards.
  • Make sure the right person is in the right position for executional excellence.
  • Maintains proper expense controls to stay within budget and explain any significant variance.
  • Effective influencer and negotiator with direct reports and stakeholders.
  • Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective aftersales units in region.
  • Nature of the duties include using an innovative approach to problem solving where frequently changing circumstances demand inventive solutions by the decision maker framed by the decision maker's significant level of past experience to bring solutions to unclear precedents.
  • The is a senior position, which demands that the decision maker make quick decisions often taking reasonable risks due to the nature of the problem arising from no clear precedents.
  • Decision maker must employ creative methods on problems where there are gaps in human knowledge and past methodology.
