Job summary

Tractebel, appointed as Owner's Engineer for the Al Khushaybi BESS IPP in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Senior Site Construction Engineer. The role entails overseeing construction, ensuring design alignment, and coordinating with EPCs, OEMs and GRID operators to deliver a 500 MW, 4-hour storage project.

The position will require disciplined site supervision, adherence to international standards, and proactive risk management to meet schedule, budget and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Substation experience in KSA with SEC and National Grid is mandatory.
• Professional certification or accreditation related to the role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction works to verify compliance with drawings, specs and contract.
• Monitors quality, progress and workmanship; witnesses inspections and tests.
• Coordinates all Engineer’s site services and interfaces with EPC and Client teams.
• Ensures site execution aligns with design intent and standards.
• Identifies non-conformities, site risks and delays; escalation as needed.
• Prepares regular site progress and event reports; maintains site records.
• Acts as focal point for all OE-related site matters.
