Job summary

alfanar is seeking an experienced SAP consultant to assist the project team in configuring SAP ERP modules, ensuring timely delivery with quality and standard policies. You will lead workshops, drive standard SAP processes, and design, test, and implement module configurations.

Additionally, you will document specifications, support incidents per SLAs, and contribute to project governance and process improvements across the SAP landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Mgmt. Sciences & Systems or related field.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP ERP projects.
• Experience with SAP module configuration, testing, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP best practices for implementing respective SAP module business processes.
• Lead workshops to gather business requirements, promote standard SAP processes, identify gaps while minimizing development.
• Design, configure, test, and implement SAP module processes, ensure standard SAP usage and minimal customization.
• Define and execute unit, integration, and regression tests for end-to-end scenarios; troubleshoot issues.
• Document all aspects of SAP module implementations (blueprints, configurations, specs, test plans).
• Support existing productive implementations and resolve incidents per predefined SLAs.

Assist project team in the configuration of business processes in the area of assigned SAP ERP modules efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments within wider scope.

Key Accountability Areas

SAP Module Expertise and Business Process Improvement:

• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP's best practices for implementing respective SAP module business processes.
• Lead workshops in gathering business requirements, influence adoption of standard SAP processes, identify and handle gaps while minimizing development effort.
• Foster the culture of innovation, building and enduring healthy relationships with positive feedback from colleagues and customers.
• Contribute to IT department level improvements by delivering on initiatives that contribute to governance and standardization of processes, including but not limited to Business Process & Procedures.

SAP Module Configuration and Testing:

• Design, configure, test, and implement assigned SAP module business processes and ensure SAP standard is followed, minimizing customization.
• Define and execute unit test, integration test, and regression test scripts to validate key end-to-end business scenarios and troubleshoot complex functional issues/bugs identified during implementation, testing, and post-Go Live.

Project Management and Documentation:

• Contribute to managing SAP projects or programs within defined time, quality, and cost constraints to deliver solutions for ultimate business satisfaction.
• Documenting all aspects of the assigned SAP module implementation (e.g., business blueprint design, application configuration, functional specifications, test plans, business process procedures, etc.).

Support and Incident Resolution:

• Support the existing productive implementation of the assigned SAP module and resolve incidents based on pre-defined SLAs.
• Identify and ensure any change request follows the Request for Change processes and not through incidents.

• Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
