Job summary

ARX is seeking a Senior Roads Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with at least 8 years in infrastructure and a minimum of 3 years in the KSA. The role focuses on roads/highways design, geometry, intersections, and pavement systems, coordinating with multiple disciplines and authorities.

You will lead design efforts, review technical deliverables, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with local codes and standards. The position is permanent and onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 8+ years in infrastructure projects focusing on roads/highways.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in the KSA mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of road/highway systems and their construction.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
• Fluency in English; Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

Senior Roads Engineer - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience working within the KSA. This role requires a deep understanding of roads and highway design, including geometric, traffic, grading, intersections, junctions, and pavement design.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the design of roads and highways for various infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, pavement design, and other engineering analyses required for road systems.
• Ensure all road designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Coordinate road levels, corridors, crossings, junctions, and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
• Review designs and technical deliverables prepared by engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the KSA is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems, including design and construction practices.
• Strong knowledge of relevant KSA codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering design software such as Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
