Job summary

ARX seeks an experienced Civil Engineer for its Riyadh office to lead wet utility design on major infrastructure projects. You will perform hydraulic modelling, pipe sizing, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with PMs and BIM teams to ensure accurate integration with broader designs.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in infrastructure and at least 3 years working in the KSA, with fluent English and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on wet utilities.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the KSA is mandatory.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the design of wet utility systems for infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, network modelling, pipe sizing, and other analyses for wet utilities.
• Ensure all wet utilities designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet utility systems into designs.
• Coordinate utility corridors, crossings, connections, diversions, and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
• Review designs and technical deliverables from engineers and BIM/CAD team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

For our office in Riyadh, we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience working within the KSA. This role requires a deep understanding of wet utility networks, including potable water, wastewater/sewerage, irrigation/TSE, and fire water systems

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and oversee the design of wet utility systems for various infrastructure projects.


• Perform and review hydraulic calculations, network modelling, pipe sizing, and other engineering analyses required for wet utility systems.


• Ensure all wet utilities designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.


• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet utility systems seamlessly into overall project designs.


• Coordinate utility corridors, crossings, connections, diversions, and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.


• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.


• Review designs and technical deliverables prepared by engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD team.


• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.


• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on wet utilities.


• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the KSA is mandatory.


• Strong knowledge of wet utility systems, including design and construction practices.


• Strong knowledge of relevant KSA codes, standards, and utility authority requirements.


• Proficiency in relevant engineering design and hydraulic modelling software such as Civil 3D, WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS.


• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
