Job summary

Surbana Jurong seeks an experienced Senior Renewables Energy Engineer to lead feasibility, design and delivery of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong leadership and in-depth knowledge of grid integration and power systems.

You will coordinate with clients, utilities and contractors, supervise design teams, review technical submissions, and ensure project milestones are met through detailed engineering and hands-on mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
• Experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, concept and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield and battery storage performance assessments.
• Coordinate grid connection requirements and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submissions, and design documentation.
• Support procurement, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Liaise with clients, utilities, authorities, and contractors to support project delivery.

Role Overview

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Senior Renewables Energy Engineers for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from feasibility through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, concept and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield and battery storage performance assessments.
• Coordinate grid connection requirements and multidisciplinary design interfaces.

Requirements

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements, power systems, and electrical design.
• Experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
