Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Senior Renewables Energy Engineer for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will provide technical leadership for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from feasibility through to delivery.

Responsibilities include leading studies, refining design deliverables, and coordinating with utilities, authorities, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy, or related Engineering field.
• 10-12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements, power systems, and electrical design.
• Experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.

• Lead feasibility studies, concept and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield and battery storage performance assessments.
• Coordinate grid connection requirements and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submissions, and design documentation.
• Support procurement, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Liaise with clients, utilities, authorities, and contractors to support project delivery.

Requirements

• Knowledge of grid connection requirements, power systems, and electrical design.

• Experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.

• Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
