Job summary

Abyatona contracting & development is seeking a cost estimator to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities from drawings, specifications, and tender documents. The role focuses on accurate cost estimation for construction projects and competitive tender submissions.

You will review tender documents, coordinate with engineering and procurement teams, and support post-tender discussions to finalize commercial offers while maintaining records of estimates and quotations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare tender pricing, cost breakdowns, and commercial comparisons.
• Identify discrepancies, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts within tender documents.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial, and project teams during the estimation process.
• Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies and tender submissions.
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, and tender documentation.
