Job summary

Client of Hudson Manpower seeks an experienced QC Welding/Piping Inspector to lead surveillance, testing, and documentation on petrochemical projects. You will verify welds, coordinate NDE, and ensure compliance with ITPs and client specs.

A bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required, with CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI and 8+ years of relevant PST experience. Strong communication with site teams and client representatives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI or equivalent certification.
• 8+ years in QC welding/piping inspection in petrochemical settings.
• Knowledge of welding, piping, NDE, pressure testing, traceability.
• Experience with ITPs, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and QC docs.

Responsibilities

• Implement QA QC activities including surveillance of subcontractor works against ITPs and quality plans.
• Prepare records for quality surveillance inspections and testing.
• Conduct surveillance inspections to verify adherence to processes and specs.
• Perform material receiving inspections per MTCs and specs.
• Witness WPQT, PQR, and Welder Qualification Tests per standards.
• Verify welding activities by qualified welders with approved WPS/WQT.
• Coordinate and witness NDE activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, hardness).
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic tests and review reports for records.
• Coordinate inspection activities with construction teams and client reps.
• Ensure calibration of measuring equipment and compliance with ITPs and QA docs.
