Zusammenfassung

SMC International Placement seeks a Welding Inspector to conduct welding and mechanical quality control in accordance with project specs and quality standards at the site in Medina, Saudi Arabia. You will verify WPS/PQR and welder qualifications, inspect welds, isometrics, and piping components, and coordinate with QC teams as well as client inspectors.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Relevant welding inspection certifications are an advantage

Aufgaben

• Conduct welding and mechanical inspections in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
• Inspect weld fit-up, joint preparation, welding activities and completed welds
• Verify compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and welder qualifications
• Review welding drawings, isometric drawings and relevant technical documents
• Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including RT, UT, MT and PT as applicable
• Inspect piping, mechanical components and materials against approved specifications
• Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and material traceability records
• Identify welding defects and non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records and documentation for client approval
• Coordinate with QC supervisors, welding engineers, contractors and client inspectors
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and site HSE procedures
