Job summary

Astron Group is seeking an experienced QC Welding Inspector to oversee welding inspection and quality control activities on project sites in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures welding works comply with approved project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable Saudi Aramco standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting welds, validating procedures and drawings, reviewing records and test reports, and coordinating with QA/QC teams, NDT, contractors, and client representatives to identify

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
5+ years of relevant welding QC experience.
2+ years on Saudi Aramco projects.
Must have passed CBT.
Strong knowledge of welding inspection and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

Inspect welding activities, weld fit-up, joint preparation, workmanship, and completed welds.
Verify compliance with welding procedures, drawings, specs, and quality requirements.
Review welding-related inspection records, documentation, and test reports.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams, welding personnel, NDT teams, contractors, and client representatives.
Identify welding defects, deviations, and non-conformities and support corrective actions.
Maintain inspection reports, checklists, weld records, and quality documentation.
Ensure inspection activities comply with project quality and safety requirements.
