Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Project Director to lead the delivery of major, complex projects across buildings, infrastructure, and master planning interfaces. You will guide multidisciplinary design teams from inception to completion, ensuring design quality, programme adherence, and commercial success.

You will act as senior client interface, drive governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement while identifying opportunities for repeat business and growth within client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/architecture/construction discipline.
• Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
• 15-20 years of experience with a leading design practice.
• Proven track record leading complex projects with significant commercial responsibility.
• Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major and complex projects and programmes within a multidisciplinary design consultancy environment.
• Own project performance across scope, programme, budget, quality, risk and client satisfaction.
• Establish delivery strategies, governance, and execution plans for successful outcomes.
• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams ensuring effective integration across disciplines.
• Champion design excellence, quality, innovation, and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive planning, design management, risk management and delivery performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, authorities, and partners.
• Mentor and develop project managers and design leads.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and delivery certainty.
