Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Project / Cost Controls Engineer to deliver robust cost, schedule, risk, and revenue controls across complex projects. You will establish baselines, forecast financials, and provide P&L insights while partnering with Project Directors, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams to keep performance on track.

The role demands deep expertise in cost management, budgeting, EVM, and change control, with a focus on accurate reporting and governance adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost engineering, quantity surveying, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, EVM, change control, risk management, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, WBS, and cost baselines aligned with scope and schedule.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, ETC, EAC, revenue, gross profit, and cash flow analyses.
• Track costs, commitments, accruals, and variances; identify risks and recommend actions.
• Apply Earned Value Management to evaluate cost/schedule performance and forecast reliability.
• Support revenue recognition, accruals, and monthly financial reporting.
• Review contracts and commercial terms affecting revenue, margins, and cash flow.
• Identify changes, update forecasts and risks, and ensure governance compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Directors, PMs, engineering, finance, and procurement to validate data.
