Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking a Senior Product/UI Designer to own the visual design language across our digital products in a fast-paced, product-led environment. You will collaborate with UX researchers, PMs, and engineers to translate user needs into polished, accessible experiences.

The role combines strong visual craft with product thinking, guiding designs from concepts to developer-ready implementations while contributing to design system governance.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of professional experience in Product/UI Design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI design and impact on users/business outcomes.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product teams.
• Nice to have: Arabic RTL and English LTR interfaces familiarity.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product/UI Designer to take ownership of the visual design language across our digital products. You will work closely with UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Front-End Engineers to transform user needs, research insights, and product requirements into polished, intuitive, accessible, and on-brand digital experiences.

This is a hands-on role for a designer who combines strong visual/UI craft with product thinking, understands how design decisions impact users and business outcomes, and can take designs from early concepts through to developer-ready implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-fidelity UI for web and mobile products, from wireframes through to final developer-ready screens using Figma.
• Build interactive micro-prototypes to demonstrate interactions, animations, transitions, and component behavior before development handoff.
• Own, build, and continuously evolve the design system, including components, patterns, design tokens, documentation, and governance.
• Translate UX research, user journeys, and flows into clear, consistent, and intuitive visual experiences.
• Partner closely with UX Researchers and Product Managers to ensure designs address real user needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Front-End Engineers to ensure a high level of design fidelity in the final product.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
• Present and defend design decisions to both design and non-design stakeholders, using user insights and data to support recommendations.
• Incorporate feedback from usability testing, stakeholder reviews, and product teams into design iterations.
• Maintain strong attention to typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and accessibility.
• Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, and platform guidelines across Web, iOS, and Android.

Requirements

Experience

• 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in Product/UI Design.
• Strong professional experience designing digital products, ideally within a product-led, SaaS, or technology environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI design work, including the reasoning behind design decisions and their impact on users and business outcomes.
• Proven experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
• Experience working within Agile, cross-functional product teams.

Technical & Design Skills

• Expert-level Figma skills, including component architecture, Auto Layout, variants, variables/tokens, and scalable file structures.
• Strong experience creating interactive prototypes and micro-interactions in Figma or tools such as ProtoPie.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining design systems, including component libraries, design tokens, documentation, and governance.
• Strong understanding of visual design fundamentals, including typography, layout, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, responsive design, and micro-interactions.
• Working knowledge of WCAG/accessibility standards.
• Understanding of front-end constraints; basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is advantageous.
• Comfortable presenting, explaining, and defending design decisions using user research and data.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for Arabic RTL and English LTR interfaces.
• Knowledge of Saudi DGA standards, regulations, or Digital Maturity metrics.
• Experience with motion/prototyping tools such as ProtoPie or After Effects.
• Basic understanding of front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience designing products for both Web and mobile platforms.
