Job summary

Toast seeks a Senior Product Engineer to design, build, and enhance core product features for complex logistics challenges. You will own projects from scope to delivery, collaborating with logistics, IT, and operations teams, and communicating with customers in English and Spanish.

You will contribute across the stack with autonomy, shaping scalable, data-driven solutions in a fast-growing environment that values clear documentation and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to lead technical projects with multiple engineers.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with thorough documentation.
• Proven ability to own projects from scoping to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain key product features with a modern stack (Node.js/TypeScript and Python for data).
• Lead end-to-end development of business-critical projects across the stack—from frontend to backend to data pipelines.
• Collaborate with customers to translate workflows into scalable, automated solutions.
• Review code and designs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Own timelines, communication, and coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Document solutions for technical and customer use.
