Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Plant Corrosion Engineer for the Tanajib Gas Plant Department (TGPD) in the Northern Area Gas Operations. You will implement corrosion management programs, conduct RBI, and support integrity of assets with coatings, CP, and inhibitors, while driving knowledge transfer and method improvements.

The role requires strong communication, reporting and presentation skills and extensive experience with NACE/API/ASME/ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in gas processing and materials science with corrosion focus.
• Experience running asset integrity programs in oil/gas facilities.
• Clear technical reporting and management presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of NACE, ASME, API and ASTM corrosion standards (API-571, API-579, API-580, API-570, API-510).
• Valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist or combination including API-571 and NACE CP II.

Responsibilities

• Implement corrosion management program and on-stream monitoring.
• Conduct RBI per API-580 and review coating/cathodic protection solutions.
• Participate in HAZOP reviews and address issues.
• Manage water treatment program and mitigate challenges.
• Review design packages and validate materials selection per codes.
• Validate corrosion controls and damage mechanisms across plant assets.
• Assess feed composition changes and approve solutions to protect assets.
• Develop scope for technology items and lead field implementation.
• Transfer knowledge on coatings, CP, inhibitors and best practices.
• Extract data from corrosion monitoring tech and troubleshoot root causes.
• Regularly update CCDs to reflect plant changes.
