Job summary

Parsons in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the Master Schedule across multiple packages, coordinating interdependencies and driving timely delivery. This role emphasizes strong project controls, schedule integrity, and proactive risk management.

You will mentor planning engineers, coordinate with international teams, and utilize Primavera P6 to manage complex construction programs, ensuring client expectations are met and projects stay on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or construction management.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in planning and scheduling building projects.
• Experience on building projects with strong interface and coordination requirements.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a Master Schedule integrating multiple packages and interdependencies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems and tools, ensuring compliance and resolving planning issues as they arise.
• Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information, identifying potential delays and suggesting mitigation measures.
• Prepare regular progress reports and presentations addressing program issues to ensure timely project completion.
• Assess claims, including Extension of Time and Disruption, using leading delay analysis methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to planning engineers, ensuring effective project controls processes and compliance.
• Identify potential risks and conflicts, documenting them in the Project Risk Register, and conduct what-if analyses to assess time impacts of changes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other Senior Planning Engineers on other locations to develop a Master Schedule that integrates all locations under this program.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or construction management from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in planning and scheduling building Projects

• Successful applicants will have experience working on building projects coupled with an excellent overall understanding of the construction industry and interface and coordination requirements in the industry

• Proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6.
